Megan called us looking for information on a Maternity session in January. She mentioned she couldn't find any photographers who had studio space to do the shoot indoors with our wonderful Wisconsin winters!. "You called the right place, we have plenty of room, sets and ideas for a fun INDOOR session!". Well after a quick conversation we decided on a time/date and as it turned out an unusually warm day allowed for a few shots outside after we had everything we needed indoors.
Megan and her husband Rick are from Pewaukee and grew up around the lake Sailing and Ice Boating. Their enthusiasm for the shoot was evident and they were open to pretty much every idea I threw at them!. Megan had a few ideas of her own and we had fun re-creating a few of the them throughout the session.
Maternity sessions are always exciting for me. I get to be a part of something special. Something that is fleeting, a very short moment in time, the calm before the storm. Mom is glowing, her anticipation is very evident. Megan had a calmness about her, and her smile was one of pure joy. Rick rolled with the flow and you could feel the connection between the two of them.
How lucky am I that I get to be a part of it for a couple short hours. A Father of 3 boys myself it takes me down memory lane to 20 plus years ago when I was in their shoes...another reason why I luv what I do. Thanks Megan & Rick for choosing me to create these images and to spend a little time with you.
