Some Days It Feels Like I Run A Marketing Company… That Occasionally Takes Photos.
Reels. Posts. Social. Captions. Email Campaign. Brand Awareness. Repeat.
Don’t get me wrong—I love what I do. But somewhere along the way, running a photography business started to feel like a full-time content creation job on top of the actual work.
Anyone else feel this way in their business?.
We’re told to show up everywhere, all the time. Be consistent. Be visible. Be creative. But no one really talks about how easy it is for marketing to start taking up more time than the craft itself.
Because at the end of the day, I didn’t start this business to chase algorithms—I started it to create something meaningful.
I can do this: ✔ Serve my clients well ✔ Create an experience that’s simple and stress-free ✔ Deliver images they truly love
Is this enough anymore?
Am I selling what very few value and want anymore?, or has technology and marketing trends passed me by.
The passion to create, tell stories, and make people feel seen and confident through images hasn’t faded one bit.
If you’re feeling this too, you’re not alone.
How are you balancing the work and the marketing?
